However, considerable barriers arise when the sanitary system works to accommodate these individuals’ needs. Mediktor’s new feature to assist users with intellectual disabilities aims to provide more accessible care for all, regardless of their impairment or limitation. 

The AI medical chatbot can now better understand each patient’s situation and consider their intellectual capabilities during the evaluation. Mediktor’s AI selects the best question model personalized for the user and blocks unnecessary ones, optimizing time and results. Moreover, this new feature includes the “Red Flag” alert, which helps to easier detect urgent cases in people with profound intellectual disabilities when difficulties in communicating with Mediktor are significant. In such cases, the AI immediately activates the red flag alert, directing the user to seek urgent assistance when needed.

How will users be able to introduce information about their intellectual disabilities? They can personalize their evaluations in two ways: by submitting the information in their profile or by following the question flow on a regular evaluation. For the first option, Mediktor has created a new profile category called “Intellectual disabilities,” where users are able to categorize their disability from mild to profound. After the user inputs this information, the system will automatically save it and adjust all subsequent assessments accordingly.

However, Mediktor’s recent database update enables this new feature to activate regardless if the user has not created a profile yet. When users indicate that they may have an intellectual disability during assessments, they will receive questions about their limitations or impairments to better understand their specific case, even without creating a profile. This personalized approach is expected to lead to significant improvements in pre-diagnosis evaluations.
