Mediktor launches a new feature for users with sensory disabilities
April 4, 2023

As part of an extended goal of augmenting Mediktor’s accessibility to every user, the company recently launched a new feature to improve the evaluation journey for people with sensory disabilities. Mediktor enhanced its already customized questioning model by adding specifically tailored questions to suit each user’s needs during the AI-based symptom assessment.
Since its foundation, Mediktor was created as a new way of conceiving access to healthcare. The ultimate goal of the AI-based medical assistant is to offer patients online tailored recommendations and guidance at the onset of symptoms, driving them to the most appropriate care pathway. This concept necessarily includes a holistic vision. In order to improve the healthcare experience in its entirety, an AI-powered model should adapt to each individual’s unique case. AI has the potential to adjust to everyone’s requirements, avoiding common access barriers in our society.
To further advance this vision, Mediktor has developed an extensive plan to promote inclusion and accessibility in healthcare, incorporating a feature for individuals with sensory disabilities as the initial step. Now, Mediktor’s AI adapts the questions from the evaluation depending on the person’s sensory disabilities, just like it would happen during a visit with a doctor. Thus, Mediktor avoids asking unnecessary non-targeted questions for people with vision loss or death mutism, for example, and creates new specific questions for each individual case. As a result, it improves the accuracy of triage and pre-diagnoses and enhances the entire user experience from the beginning of the assessment.
Users can personalize their Mediktor profile and detail their particular situation seamlessly. The AI system will then use this information to customize all future assessments, optimizing the time spent on symptom evaluation and ultimately reducing the wait time between symptom onset and proper treatment.
As our society ages, healthcare companies must remain updated. Mediktor has always been dedicated to this purpose. The Software as a Service already has voice recognition integration. This means that patients with visual conditions take advantage of Mediktor’s AI-based virtual assistance directly through this platform. They can now combine this valuable integration with the new feature for sensory disabilities, leveling up the whole user experience.
After this launch, Mediktor’s medical team is working simultaneously on enabling even more inclusive symptom evaluations. Coming soon, the AI-based medical assistant will also count with features for people with physical and intellectual disabilities. This plan is part of Mediktor’s purpose: to improve access to healthcare for all.
