Roche and Mediktor Collaboration Empowers Women’s Health in Ivory Coast

IVORY COAST, April 30—In a pioneering initiative to enhance awareness of women’s health in Ivory Coast, Mediktor and Roche have joined forces. This project involves the active collaboration of the Health Ministry and focuses on the early detection of breast and uterine cervix cancers driven by the local startup Care’in through the Innov’keneya Project.

The initiative represents a significant stride towards accessible healthcare and addressing conditions that often go unchecked until they reach critical stages. Backed by Roche, the project leverages Mediktor’s cutting-edge AI medical chatbot technology by offering AI triage services to women attending primary health centers in Ivory Coast.

The AI technology was tailored explicitly for the project to identify potential cases of breast and uterine cervix cancer, developed by joint efforts of Mediktor and Care’In, an Ivory Coast promising health startup. Depending on the triage result, women are suggested to schedule a specialist visit or annual check-ups at the end of every evaluation. The AI triage system is intuitive, user-friendly, and understands natural language expressions due to its sophisticated in-house technologies.

Providing this service in health centers raises awareness and sets a precedent in women’s health care. Early detection plays a crucial role- it can make a significant difference. Studies have shown that, when detected early, the survival rate for women with cervical cancer can be as high as 91%. Such actions are paramount in empowering women with the knowledge and resources to protect their health.

This collaboration represents a significant milestone in integrating advanced technologies with public health strategies. A project of this scale could serve as a model for similar initiatives aimed at raising awareness about other diseases in different regions. It is a transformative step towards a more inclusive healthcare system and underscores the potential for technology to drive meaningful change in healthcare quality worldwide.
